Signs showing a company name, trademark and type of activity are no longer treated as outdoor advertising, so they no longer need an advertising place passport. Companies can advertise on their own vehicles by notification, free of charge.
The changes were made by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 563 of 13 October 2026. According to lex.uz, it took effect on 15 October. It amends several existing government acts on outdoor advertising.
Legal entities can advertise on their own vehicles by submitting an electronic notification through the unified portal. The passport is generated automatically and the service is free.
What this means in practice. If your sign shows only a name, trademark and type of activity, you do not need a passport, and a local authority cannot object to its absence. If the sign carries other advertising, a passport is still required. If your sign is to be removed, check that you were notified 2 days ahead and that work takes place during working hours.
