Uzbekistan will cut the customs fee for processing international courier shipments by 20%. The new rate takes effect on 1 November 2026. For anyone ordering goods from abroad, that means a direct saving on every parcel.
The cut is part of Presidential Resolution No. PP-368 on developing the transport and logistics sector, signed on 12 October 2026. It was announced by the Ministry of Justice's legal information channel; the full text of the act had not been published in open sources at the time of writing.
Customs authorities charge the fee on all international courier shipments. It is separate from the payments that apply when the duty-free import limits for personal goods are exceeded.
The main aim is to develop transport and logistics infrastructure by 2030. Stated targets include raising the number of international dry ports from 24 to 30, bringing exports of transport and logistics services to $3.5 billion, and doubling container-handling capacity at logistics centres.
The fee of 2% of the BCU per kilogram was introduced by a Cabinet of Ministers resolution in January 2025 and has been collected since May of that year.
What this means in practice. Buyers from foreign online stores and marketplaces will pay less for parcel clearance from 1 November. Businesses that import goods by courier should recalculate their logistics costs. Check final details and the application procedure against the official text once it is published.
