From 1 October 2026, a single card-paid trip on Tashkent’s public transport costs 2,500 soums instead of 1,700. The new fares were approved on 25 September 2026 by the Tashkent City Council of People’s Deputies.
The decision was published on the E-qaror portal. The draft had been put up for public discussion on 10 September.
New fare packages based on validity period or number of trips are being introduced for ATTO cards. Pupils, students, persons with disabilities and several other eligible groups get a 50% discount on these packages.
The previous fare increase took place in November 2023, from 1,400 to 1,700 soums.
What this means in practice. If you commute daily, compare the cost of single trips with the new ATTO packages and choose a suitable one — especially if you are eligible for the 50% discount. Paying in cash remains the most expensive option. Employers who reimburse staff travel costs may want to recalculate these payments from October.
