Residence registration rules to be simplified

On August 11, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis passed in the first reading a bill simplifying registration of citizens at their place of residence and place of stay.

The document addresses several groups at once: owners of mortgaged housing, students in dormitories, and citizens unable to register in housing under restrictions or arrest. In particular, it proposes allowing registration in pledged housing with the bank’s consent and lifting floor-space limits when registering family members at a place of stay.

According to the initiators, the law will expand registration options, simplify student registration, strengthen protection of mortgaged housing buyers, and remove inconsistencies in law enforcement practice.

Registration issues often arise in real estate transactions and family disputes. Legal Alliance lawyers will advise you on how to act in your situation, taking the upcoming changes into account.
